Dear Friends of Mary Health of the Sick,
As the Christmas season rapidly approaches and we bask in the memories of Christmases past, our thoughts turn to those special people who loved us, enlightened us, and enriched our lives.
To help you honor and celebrate the true heroes in your lives-those individuals who held your hand and never let go-Mary Health of the Sick annually holds a beautiful tradition called the Garland of Prayers.
Christmas garland, personalized with the names of your loved one either living or deceased, are draped along the hospital corridors, bringing memories of your loved ones to life and life to the halls of the hospital. Every night during the Advent and Christmas season, the Sisters will gather to say prayers for all of the people whose names are inscribed on the Garland of Prayers. Additionally, a special Mass will be celebrated for all your intentions and those of your family members.
By sharing in this beautiful tradition, you are joining the Sisters and staff at Mary Health in brightening the lives of residents, as well as remembering the individuals who made your holiday gathering so very special.
Thank you for supporting Mary Health by participating in the Garland of Prayers. Your gift is greatly needed and enormously appreciated. Only with the financial support of benefactors like yourself are the Sisters able to continue to provide the highest level of care for our frail, elderly, and terminally ill residents.
May the Spirit of the Christ Child and the love of His Holy Mother fill your lives with love, joy, and peace.
