MARY HEALTH OF THE SICK IS NO ORDINARY HOSPITAL. Located on eight acres of beautifully landscaped grounds and a panoramic view of rolling hills in Newbury Park, California. Mary Health of the Sick is a 24-hour skilled nursing facility.
It is owned and operated by the Servants of Mary, Ministers to the Sick, a Catholic congregation of women religious who dedicate their lives to providing loving, compassionate nursing care to people of all faiths. The Sisters, who live on the premises of the hospital, founded and opened its doors on June 20, 1964. The Sisters’ ministry is an extension of Christ’s mission of bringing hope to the suffering, healing to the sick, and comfort to the dying. Their sacred aspiration is to accompany the frail elderly and terminally ill, along with their families, on life’s final transition. Facility admits residents on short-term rehabilitation or long-term stay.
The mission of Mary Health of the Sick Convalescent and Nursing Hospital is to provide the highest level of long-term care in southern California.

DIETARY COOK We are seeking a Cook to join our dedicated kitchen staff! You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in our professional kitchen.- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
Requirements- Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
- Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities- • Prepare all served food
- • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
- • Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
- • Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
- • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- • Adhere to all sanitation and food production code
DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT (POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED 9/2024)
Description:
Supports the Development Director in all aspects of fundraising events, including planning, organizing, and execution. Assists in pre-event stages by coordinating committee meetings and handling logistical details. Liaises with fundraising boards and vendors to ensure accurate and timely marketing materials. Manages communication channels and event logistics, including venue booking, entertainment, and activities. Requires good graphic and web design skills.- Requires 1-2 years of college experience and/or Development/Fundraising/Special Events experience.
- Detail-oriented with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Passionate about promoting the organization's mission and raising public awareness.
- Demonstrates ability for planning, project management, and teamwork abilities.
- Works well independently and collaboratively.
- Exhibits outstanding customer service, organizational, and time management skills.
- Will provide flexible scheduling to accommodate part-time hours.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Social Media platforms, and CANVA.

MAINTENANCE MANAGER (POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED 8/2024)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team. As the Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department. Your main objective will be to ensure that the facility environment is maintained clean, safe, and comfortable, in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local standards.
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in the operation of boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and other technical documents.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, maintenance practices, and procedures.
- Must be licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.
- Ability to plan and execute repair, new construction, and equipment installation programs.
- Strong commitment to the Mary Health mission, which includes delivering high-quality, person-centered care with dignity, respect, compassion, and integrity.
- Previous experience in a healthcare facility is preferred.
