MARY HEALTH OF THE SICK IS NO ORDINARY HOSPITAL. Mary Health is a nonprofit and non-sectarian 61-bed skilled nursing facility, located on eight acres of beautifully landscaped grounds and a panoramic view of rolling hills. It is located in Newbury Park, California.
The rooms are cheerfully decorated and the patients are encouraged to bring in their favorite comforter or pillows to make it feel more like home. The hospital has recently been renovated and upgrades are ongoing. All rooms have TVs with individual pillow speakers as well as telephones.
Activities of all kinds are available seven days a week to keep residents as active as possible. Residents, ther families and friends can socialize in our two spacious recreation rooms, a family room, and the Ebensteiner Garden and courtyard.
Visitors are welcome 24 hours a day, as long as they do not interfere with the medical care being given. When residents are sick or dying, family members are encouraged to stay as long as they wish.
The beautiful chapel is open at all times to residents, families and friends. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is celebrated daily.
The Servants of Mary, Ministers to the Sick, who own and operate Mary Health of the Sick, believe that love, as much as modern medicines and treatments, has the power to heal both body and soul. They put this belief into practice every day when they minister to the needs of the sick and elderly residents at their wonderful hospital. Most of the resident who reside at Mary Health will never “get well” and go home. Mary Health of the Sick is their last stepping-stone to their final resting place. With tenderness and compassion, the Sisters and staff at Mary Health accompany these individual on their final journey.
